Clara L. Fryer
Clara Fryer received her undergraduate degree from Troy State University and her J.D. from the University of Alabama. Ms Fryer focused on developer/community association law while in law school, and later as a clerk and then an associate at Hyatt and Rhoads, a nationally recognized leader in the field. In 1990 she returned to her first love, the “neighborhood closing practice”. She continues to work with realtors, builders and consumers from their neighborhood, “home” perspective. Ms. Fryer has been consistently recognized by Atlanta Magazine as an Atlanta “Superlawyer”, and as one of the top 50 women lawyers in the state. She also served as the title industry representative at the 2008 Federal Reserve Housing Summit held in Atlanta. Ms. Fryer is a Member of the State Bar of Georgia and a Board Member of the Georgia Real Estate closing Attorney Association. Ms. Fryer has co-authored several industry-related publications, including “Buying a Home” (State Bar of Georgia); “Representing Condominium Unit Purchasers” (GA Bar Journal); and “Recommended Changes in the Law Affecting Condominium and Homeowner Assns. In Georgia” (G.S.U. Law Review), and was co-reporter for the Alabama Condominium Act and Common Interest Ownership Act; JD Univ. of Alabama.
David M. Barrett
David Barrett received his undergraduate and law degrees from Georgia State University. He has practiced law since 1989 and has specialized in residential real estate law since 1995. He conducts regular educational programs in the offices of real estate agents in the Atlanta area, allowing them to more fully understand the laws governing real estate transactions and thereby better serve their clients and ours. Mr. Barrett's professional involvement includes membership in the Atlanta Bar Association; State Bar of Georgia, Real Estate Division; Georgia Real Estate Closing Attorney Association; Neighborhood Title Group and the Florida Bar Association. In the community, Mr. Barrett is a staff member with the Atlanta Church of Religious Science and a member of the Georgia Equality Project.
Karen Ingram-Tello
Karen Ingram-Tello specializes in the areas of law governing multi-family and condominium residences. Mrs. Ingram-Tello graduated from Auburn University with a B.S. in International Business and received her J.D. from the University of Georgia in 1993. Her professional associations include memberships in the State Bar of Georgia, the Georgia Real Estate Closing Attorneys Association and the American Bar Association. She served as the 2003-2004 Real Estate Section Chair of the Atlanta Bar Association.
Kathryn Newman
Kathryn Semonsky Newman specializes in residential real estate closings at the Fryer Law Firm, overseeing the entire closing transaction, working closely with buyers, sellers, real estate agents and mortgage professionals. Mrs. Newman also attends weekly meetings with real estate agents and loan officers, allowing her to stay current on market conditions as well as the opportunity to share the legal perspective at these meetings. Kathryn attended the University of Georgia where she graduated with a Certificate of Honors with a B.A. and continued her education at Georgia State University, where she received a J.D. She is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, Real Estate Division, and the Georgia Real Estate Closing Attorneys Association.
Catherine Donnelly
Catherine Donnelly, a graduate of Princeton University and Georgia State University College of Law, has been practicing residential real estate law since 1999. While at Georgia State, Ms. Donnelly won the William H. Daniel Mock Trial national competition. In addition to fulfilling the legal requirements of each closing transaction, Ms. Donnelly strives to guide Buyers and Sellers smoothly and seamlessly through the often-complicated closing process. And, as a proud Morningside neighborhood resident, she enjoys sharing many delightful closing experiences with Atlanta’s wonderful, in-town real estate community. Ms. Donnelly is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, Real Estate Section, and the Georgia Real Estate Closing Attorney Association.
